As June unfolds, a month dedicated to raising awareness and taking action against Alzheimer's disease, Love and Light Senior Care is excited to invite you to participate in a very special event. Join us on June 23rd for the "Longest Day Hike" at the National Colonial Farm in Accokeek. This event is part of a global movement to combat Alzheimer’s, symbolizing the resilience and challenges faced by those affected by the disease and their caregivers.

The Power of Participation

The Longest Day is an annual event held on the summer solstice, symbolizing the challenging journey faced by those living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. It's a day when people from around the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s with light and action. By participating in our hike, you not only raise awareness but also contribute directly to the cause.

Why Hike?

Hiking is more than just physical activity; it’s a way to connect with nature and community while supporting a meaningful cause. Our chosen trail at the National Colonial Total Farm offers breathtaking natural scenery, providing a serene backdrop for reflection and connection. This family-friendly event is suitable for all ages and offers a chance to make a real difference while enjoying the great outdoors.

Direct Impact

All proceeds from the event go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association, which means every step you take on the hike helps fund vital research and support services. This direct contribution is crucial in our collective fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Join Us

We encourage everyone to lace up their hiking boots and join us. Whether you're an avid hiker or someone looking to contribute to a great cause, this event is for you. It's a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow community members who are all walking to make a difference.

Remember to register by June 5th to receive your event T-shirt in time for the hike. Let’s come together to support those affected by Alzheimer’s and show that no one has to face this disease alone.

We can't wait to see you there, stepping up in the fight against Alzheimer's. Thank you for your support, and let's make this year's Longest Day one of the most impactful yet.
